College Soccer Recruiting · Southern California

Personalized recruiting for the families most services overlook.

A boutique practice helping academically-driven club soccer families run targeted, personalized college outreach campaigns, the work most parents don't have time to do well.

Why this exists

Most recruiting services are factories. This is the opposite.

Parents pay $3,000 to $5,000 and get a profile that looks identical to every other player's, sent to coaches who delete it on sight.

Outreach that gets read, gets responses, and respects everyone's time.

This practice was built around what families actually want from a recruiting service: outreach that's personalized, research that's thorough, and pricing that reflects the real work involved. Every email is researched and shaped around the player's voice for one specific coach at one specific program. Every player profile is built around what coaches actually look for at that level. Every target school list reflects the family's real priorities, not a generic top-100.

This is a boutique practice. We work with a limited number of families per cycle so the work stays personal. If you're looking for volume, this isn't it.

By the numbers

The realities most services won't tell you.

14
Scholarships per Division I women's soccer program, split across 28 to 30 roster players. Most recruits get partial offers, not full rides.
100+
Generic recruiting emails coaches receive each month. The personalized ones get read.
$0
Athletic money at Ivy League and NESCAC schools. There is generous need-based aid that often nets cheaper than partial D1 offers.

Our approach

Personalized. Boutique. Honest.

01

Personalized at the email level

Every coach outreach email starts with the player's voice and is tailored to that specific coach, that specific program, and that specific moment in their recruiting cycle. We research the program's roster needs, recent recruiting class, tactical style, and academic profile. The player's intake responses, playing style, and goals shape every word. AI-assisted research makes this possible at scale; the player's authentic voice makes it work.

02

Verified, current coach contacts

College coaching staffs change constantly. An outdated contact undermines credibility instantly. Every coach contact is verified from the school's official athletic department directory within seven days of any outreach send. Assistant coaches are contacted alongside the head coach.

03

Transfer portal-aware targeting

Modern college recruiting runs on two tracks: high school recruits and the transfer portal competing for the same scholarship dollars. A program that just lost two outside backs is a much warmer market than one that just signed three grad transfers at the same position. We track and adjust accordingly.

04

Boutique by design

We work with a limited number of families per cycle. The cap is intentional. It keeps the work personal and the standards high. We sometimes turn families away when timing or fit isn't right.

05

Local expertise

Based in Orange County and built around the Southern California competitive soccer ecosystem: ECNL, Girls Academy, top academic high schools, and the West Coast college programs that recruit from this region.

06

Honest about what we control

We don't promise college placements or fabricate anything. What we control is the quality of the work: the profile, the research, the outreach, the follow-up. The rest depends on the player's level, the coach's needs, and timing.

07

Live recruiting pipeline

Every player gets a real-time dashboard showing schools targeted, emails sent, responses received, and current status at a glance. Parents can check it from their phone without asking us for an update. No spreadsheet to interpret, no guesswork.

08

AI email monitoring

Incoming coach emails are scanned and summarized automatically. The player's recruiting profile updates in real time. Nothing gets buried in an inbox or missed during a busy week. The pipeline always reflects the current picture.

Platform

Every player gets a live recruiting hub.

Not a PDF. Not a static spreadsheet. A live, always-current recruiting profile families can check from any device — updated automatically as outreach progresses.

Live Recruiting Pipeline

A real-time dashboard showing every school in the target list, each coach contacted, responses received, and current status. One link, any device, always current.

AI Email Monitoring

Incoming coach emails are scanned, AI-summarized, and logged automatically. The recruiting pipeline updates in real time. Nothing gets missed or buried during a busy week.

Player Web Profile + QR Code

Every player gets a dedicated profile page at pitchandprofile.com. The QR code on their one-pager links directly to it. Coaches scan at an ID camp and see everything in seconds.

How it works

The process.

From first conversation to active outreach, here's what working together looks like.

01
Discovery call (free, 30 minutes)
We talk about your player, your goals, your timeline, and your financial frame. By the end of this call, I'll tell you whether I think we're a fit. Sometimes the answer is no. Wrong timing, wrong level, or a different service would serve you better.
02
Onboarding (Week 1)
If we move forward, you complete a detailed intake covering athletic profile, academic record, family priorities, geographic preferences, and financial parameters. We schedule a 60-minute strategy session to align on the recruiting plan.
03
Profile and school list (Weeks 2 to 3)
I build the player one-pager and target school list. You review, edit, and approve before anything goes out. Nothing leaves the building without family sign-off.
04
Outreach launch (Week 4)
First batch of personalized coach emails goes out. Each is reviewed by you before sending. You retain full visibility and final approval throughout.
05
Ongoing management
Monthly follow-ups, quarterly strategy calls, profile updates after major events, and continuous adjustment as coaches respond and the recruiting picture clarifies.
Honest boundaries

What we don't do.

Most recruiting services won't tell you what they avoid. Here is what we don't do, and why.

We don't promise placements
Anyone who guarantees you a scholarship or a roster spot is either uninformed or dishonest. Recruiting outcomes depend on factors no service controls.
We don't fabricate
No inflated stats, no doctored video, no recommendations under false pretenses, no coaching families to misrepresent records. The reputation cost is too high.
We don't take every family
If the player isn't competing at a level the target schools recruit from, we'll say so. If the timeline is unrealistic, we'll say so. If another service would serve the family better, we'll say so.
We don't subcontract
Your work is done by the founder. It's not handed off to a junior writer, a contractor, or a partner platform. The boutique cap exists for this reason.
We don't pressure
No urgency tactics. No artificial deadlines. No pushing families into packages they don't need. If a Foundation package fits, that's what we recommend.
We don't track or pixel emails
Coach inboxes recognize tracked outreach instantly. We don't compromise email credibility for vanity metrics. Your campaign data lives in our internal system, not the email itself.

A note on fit This practice isn't right for every family. If the player isn't competing at the ECNL, Girls Academy, or equivalent level, the realistic college targets are different and a different service may serve the family better. If the family is hoping for placement guarantees, we can't promise those and won't pretend otherwise. If the player isn't academically motivated, our school list will be much narrower than expected. The discovery call is partly a fit conversation. Sometimes the honest answer is that we're not the right service, and we'll say so.

Frequently asked

Common questions.

When should we start?
Earlier than most families think. NCAA D1 women's soccer coaches can directly contact recruits starting June 15 after sophomore year. The 12 months before that date are when the recruiting profile gets built, the school list gets refined, and the early outreach establishes who's on a coach's radar. Working with families starting in freshman or sophomore year is ideal.
How are you different from NCSA or other large platforms?
Large platforms are factories. They sign tens of thousands of athletes per year and rely on volume: generic profiles, mass-distributed emails, automated tools. Our practice is a boutique. We work with a limited number of families. Every email is researched, voiced around the player, and personalized for one coach at one program.
Do you guarantee scholarships or roster spots?
No. No legitimate service does. What we control is the quality of the materials, the targeting of the outreach, and the consistency of the follow-up. The rest depends on factors no service controls.
My player is already with another club. Does that matter?
Not at all. The practice is built to support families across the Southern California competitive club soccer ecosystem: SoCal Blues, Beach FC, LAFC, Slammers, Girls Academy clubs, and high school programs. Club affiliation matters for coach relationships but doesn't affect our ability to support a family.
What if my player is interested in pre-med, nursing, engineering, or another rigorous major?
This is one of our specialties. Academically demanding majors filter for programs that genuinely support student-athletes: high-academic D1 programs, the Ivy League, top D3 conferences, and select private universities. Nursing in particular narrows the list further because clinical schedules conflict with soccer for some D1 programs; we research each program's track record with athletes pursuing demanding majors before adding it to the list, and the outreach emails name the major directly so coaches who can support it engage and coaches who can't self-select out.
What happens if a coach doesn't respond? Do you keep trying?
Most coaches don't respond to the first email. That's normal in recruiting, not a failure of the email. The follow-up sequence is where outreach actually compounds. We track every conversation, follow up with a different angle at 10 to 14 days, and continue with respectful frequency through the cycle. Coaches who don't engage after three thoughtful follow-ups generally aren't a fit for the player, and we redirect energy to programs that are.
Do you work with families outside Southern California?
Sometimes. The practice is built around the SoCal ecosystem: the clubs, the showcases, the high schools, and the West Coast college programs that recruit from this region. That's where the methodology is sharpest. For families outside SoCal, we'll be candid on the discovery call about whether we can serve you well. The work itself is asynchronous, so geography is less of a barrier than club-knowledge depth.
Can I see examples of your work?
Yes. The Sample Work page shows a real client bundle including a player one-pager, target school tracker, magazine-style cover, and live web profile, all shared with the family's approval.
My player is class of 2029 (or younger). When should we start?
2029 players can email coaches anytime. What changes is what coaches can do in return. D1 coaches legally cannot send personalized recruiting responses to 2029 prospects until June 15, 2027. The right outreach for younger players reads differently: "introducing myself, please watch me at NC" rather than "interested in your program." Done right, the outreach lands as a future-radar add and the coach attends the player's games. Done wrong, it looks pushy or uninformed. We get this nuance right.
What does it cost?
Four packages, scoped by recruiting stage. Foundation starts at $449 one-time (club and non-ECNL families). ECNL packages range from $1,750 to $2,250 upfront plus a $249/mo retainer. Full breakdown is on the Packages section above. Payment plans available. No hidden fees, no upsells after onboarding. SoCal Blues families: ask about the partner rate on the discovery call.
We already have a list of schools and some coach contacts. Can you still help?
Yes, and this is common. Many families have done good early work but hit a ceiling at the outreach craft, follow-up cadence, or assistant-coach research. We integrate with what you have rather than restart it. Our larger client trackers have included family-supplied contacts alongside additional schools we add through our own research.

Pitch & Profile was built by a club soccer parent who saw firsthand how thinly the existing recruiting services stretched themselves, and how much was being charged for work that wasn't really getting done. There's a real gap in the market between $5,000 factory services and DIY parents working from a kitchen table at midnight.

My own daughter is a 2029 outside back at SoCal Blues ECNL. Walking through her recruiting taught me what the existing services were missing: the editorial scrutiny on every email, the assistant-coach research that gets the CCs right, the willingness to push back on a player's family when an awards line was inflated. oes not happen at scale. It happens one family at a time, one player at a time. That is what this practice is built around.

Capacity is intentionally capped. If the practice is full, the honest answer is a waitlist or returning next cycle rather than taking on work that cannot be done well.
